Due to Cyclone Ita and the uncertainty of where it will track and over what time frame, AFL Cairns have made the decision to cancel all Round 3 AFL Cairns matches (Seniors & Reserves), which were scheduled to be played on Saturday 12 April 2014. (As it is school holidays there are no scheduled Junior matches being played this weekend, and Women’s League are yet to commence for 2014.)
The safety and welfare of all AFL participants including players, officials and spectators alike, as well as the rest of our community is foremost in our minds. We ask everyone to take great care during this time of uncertainty as Ita imposes itself upon us.
